15th December 2009 Benton One More Duck Usko´s son Cheddarhill Alfie Asker "Alfie" was BOB in Nordic Winner Show in Helsinki. Alfie got Nordic Winner 2009-title and will become International Champion when he passes hunting test next summer.
Alfie is talented in many ways. He is the best Obedience Spaniel of Year 2009. Alfie got 95 points out of 100. Usko´s daughter Cheddarhill Addie Adanna "Addie" is the best show Welsh of 2009. 30th November 2009 FCI has confirmed to Benton One More Duck Usko new title. Usko is now also International Show Champion (C.I.E.). During his short life Usko achieved 8 champion titles and 18 Winner-titles. On the top of the cake is reserve-cc and cc from Crufts. 31th October 2009 Benton One More Duck Usko´s puppy Cheddarhill Addie Adanna passed a water bird hunting test. Addie is now ESTCH, RUSCH, BLRCH, LVCH, BALTCH and INTCH. Congratulations to Helle and Uno! Well done. Benton Kings Cross Pietu´s son Cheddarhill Baako Boy passed hunting test earlier and is now Estonian champion. All offspring of Usko and Pietu have done well in competitions during the summer. They have got for example reserve-cacib form Baltic Winner show and in agility transfered to A-2 class. 04th August 2009 His Royal Highness Pietu "Osama" Pakkala aka Benton Kings Cross had his 8th birthday yeasterday 3.8.2009. He is now veteran! He still acts like a puppy... Hope "the soldier of red-white" army will try our patience still for many many years.
In the end of July I and my friend Elisa made a perfect weekendtrip to Manchester, Liverpool and Tatton Park Flower show.
The weather was fine and we did some serious shopping. So serious that I had to buy a new suitcase :-) Flower show was heaven for me. I had a lot of ideas and perhaps some are worth of doing in the future. I took a lot of photos but can publish here only a few Tatton Park. Here is a link Garden 2009 to photos of our garden this year. 04th July 2009 Benton One More Duck Usko´s son Cheddarhill Alfie Ashker "Alfie" is visinting Finland this weekend and doing some shows as well. In Tuusula all breed show today Alfie got CC! Alfie needs now field trial test and he will be also Finnish show champion. Tomorrow Alfie will be shown in Hyvinkää. The judge in Tuusula were Kirsi Nieminen from Finland.
Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo´s son Wildomar´s Fiction Oh No "Wallu" were today in Tuusula all breed show BOS! Congratulations to Marja, Harri, Sanna and Sami!

10th June 2009 Last Sunday 07.06.2009 I and my husband Jukka went to main speciality show of Springerspaniel club. During the spring we thought what might be the way how the future show people might remember our star Benton One Duck Usko. A trophy in main speciality show was the way we wanted to honour Usko. With little help from Arja Söderholm we decited to donate a prize to BOB-welsh springer in our main speciality show. Prize is called "Uskon Pinaali". We wanted to give trophy personally to first winner although I knew how hard it will be to me. BOB-welsh was Benton Pep Talk "Ilona".
Thanks to everybody who came to talk to me and gave me a hug. You all made my hard day little easier. 02nd May 2009 Spring has come and I could start gardening. All flowers are alive after difficult winter and moles didn´t make any damages like they have done almost everywhere in Finland. I will stay more time out gardening and enjoy summer of Finland when is less snow what we have in winter. My "career" in show world is completely over because the death of Benton One One More Duck Usko. So I will not update our web-pages actively. Pages are still open and perhaps I time to time have something to tell you. 22nd March 2009 Puppies of Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo had their 2-year birthday 26.01.2009. In the first possible show Wildomar´s Fiction Oh No "Wallu" became Finnish show champion. Congratulations to owners Marja and Harri Kontio and of course to breeders Sanna and Sami! Benton One More Duck Usko´s puppies had their 2-year birthday 27.01.2009. The puppies have been very successfull during this year´s shows. They had several CC´s and CACIB´s, few BOS-placements and Latvian Winner 2009- and Lithunian Winner 2009-titles. Congratulations to Maria, Helle and Uno! Cheddarhill Alfie Asker "Alfie" needs only working ability test to gain Estonian, Lithunian and Belarus show champion titles and Cheddarhill Addie Adanna "Addie" needs working ability test to gain Russian, Belarus, Latvian, Lithunian and Baltic show champion titles. Life without Usko has been very hard for me and my husband. I think "my boy" every day and still miss him a lot. Thanks to Irma, Marina, Elisa and Lidjewij for the support they have given me. Also our families has been great comfort. 27th January 2009 In Memoriam Benton One More Duck 15.09.2003-27.01.2009 Benton One More Duck Usko is not with us anymore. He had malignant tumour in his spleen. Tumour was spread to hole liver and abdominal cavity. Vets could not help us at all. Rest in peace our beloved star. We miss you very much.
I have so many beautiful memories of Usko. This poem tells everything: A Great Show Dog Never Dies........ He's there..... he lives on..... waiting behind the memory curtain of my mind through which only I can see.... He stands there, tail wagging, eyes agleam.... so visible to me, seen only by me... always waiting eagerly to be called to my side, as he knows I will do, to live again the proud moments. He comes obediently when I summon, and I can slip his show lead on him at any time. Whenever I wish, the two of us can once more gait off on silent footsteps to a Best of Breed, a Group 1st or a Best in Show. It matters not that no-one else sees our performance, nor hears the thunderous applause as we move. It is our thrill to share alone.... over and over.... forever and ever..... 01st January 2009 News 2009 page created.
