23th December 2008 My Christmas wish for you, my
friend 14th December 2008 Benton One More Duck Usko and I ended our showyear in Finnish Winner 2008 -show. The breed judge were Per Iversen from Norway. Usko was BM-1 and got Cacib and Finnish Winner 2008 -title. Usko was also Best of Breed (BOB).
Here is Usko´s critique: En vacker welshspringer hane med utmärkt protion och storlek. Vackert huvud och härlig uttryckt. Mycket flott hals, väl kroppad. Väl vinklad, vacker päls. I utmärkt kondition. Välvisad. Efektiva rörelser. The group judge was Rune Fagerström from Finland. Usko was BIG-3!
10th December 2008 Last Sunday 7.12.2008 Benton One More Duck Usko and I were in the tradional December-journey in Stockholm entering International dog show HUND2008. The breed judge was WSS breeder Ola Eriksson, kennel Gelman´s from Sweden. Usko won champion class, was BM-1 and got Cacib. Finally the judge picked Usko to Best of breed (BOB).
Here is Usko´s critique: Härlig modell. Mycket vackert torrt, maskulint huvud och uttryck med vackra, rastypiske detaljer. Utmärkt hals och överlinje. Välvinklad fram och bak. Välkroppad. Välgående. Champion väl värd sin titel. In very high quality group competition Usko was BIG-3. The group judge was Per Iversen from Norway.
photo: SKK 12nd November 2008 Benton One More Duck Usko and I travelled last weekend by ourselves to Nordic Winner 2008-show which was held in Herning Denmark. The judge was Teixeira Luis Pinto from Portugal. Usko got Execellent and won Open class. Usko got also CC and Cacib and was finally BOB. Usko became Danish show champion and got title Nordic Winner 2008. photo: Jan Buk Our journey to Denmark was full of happenings, as least I think so. I drove about 2.320 km (1.450 miles) alone and I can feel it in my bones. I think I might be little too old for driving thousands kilometres and just in few days. Journey towards Denmark went smoothly and calmly. I had my brand new car (Toyota Corolla Verso) and I enjoyed driving motorways in Sweden and Denmark. My navigator (GPS) helped me to find hotel. Then the difficulties started... The night before the show Usko waked me up in the middle of the night and asked to get out. I put my coat on and took keys with me and we went out. The weather was bright and cold wind was blowing. After Usko did his thing and we wanted to get inside, I realised that I have car keys, not the keys of hotel. I must admit that this old lady was very wake at that point. I though the optins I had; will we sleep in car or drive to reception. The reception was in different place where the hotel we stayed in. Luckily there was a phone in reception and the owner of the hotel came to let me inside ( he must swear me, but helped me with smile). After that happening the bed was the best thing I could think and I was able to sleep two more hours ;-) Afterwards I smile to my stupidity but in the middle of the night wearing night-gown in the cold night my thoughts were different. Sunday-morning started normally and we were about to leave to show venue. Guess what, my navigator (GPS) didn´t work. I tried everything to fix it but nothing helped. I decided to eat the breakfast first in the hotel and think how I will find show venue. Luckily two finnish girls stayed at the same hotel and I asked them to help me. I followed them to show venue and also on Monday morning to motorway E20 from where I can find my way to Stockholm without map by following roadsigns. Old saying " From difficulties to victory" is something I can now sign. Usko´s success feels very good after all happenings we had. On our way back home the weather was very stormy; strong winds and a lot of rain. I had to concentrate on driving very much to keep car in the road and ecpecially crossing 3 bridges in Denmark were little difficult. Anuhow we got back safely. 22nd October 2008 Last Sunday 19.10. Benton One More Duck Usko and I were in main show of Spaniel club. The breed judge was recpected breeder of English Springers Mr Gareth Lawler, kennel Roqfolly. Usko was fabulous with good result BOS. In this show is allways extra competition for all BOS-dogs. The BIS-judge was Rui Goncalves from Portugal. Usko was in the finals BIS-3.
photo: Sanna Káven Here is Usko´s critique is following: Dog of super breed type. Real Welsh head. Lovelu eye. Excellent neck. Well let down shoulder. Great body and dept. Well let down behind. Lovely legs and feet. Correct tail set. Moved very well, soundly and with drove. Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo´s son Wildomar´s Fiction Oh No "Wallu" was in the same show BM-4 and getting reserve-cc. Earlier in September Wallu were in the group show held in Hyvinkää and wqas BOS and got CC. Arvo´s daughter Wildomar´s FatalAttraction "Fara" had her second obedience competition gaining ALO3 124 points. 14th September 2008 Benton Kings Cross Pietu had his 7-year birthday 3.8.. Now the rest of boys are following. Benton One More Duck Usko will have his 5-year birthday tomorrow 15.9. and Hightide´s Midnight Storm Voitto will have his 6-year birthday 19.9.. Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo will have his 4-year birthday 18.12.2008. We have enjoyed ourselves during this summer and autumn. I have done gardening (now I have 150 flower blubs waiting :-)), ride a bicycle, nordic walking and motorcycling with Jukka. With boys we have in my parent´s summer cottage where boys have been swimming. Arvo and Jukka have also been hunting.
Arvo´s puppy Wildomar´s Fiction Oh No has passed hunting ability test and needs now only one cc to become a champion and Wildomar´s FatalAttraction had her first obedience test gaining 2nd prize only 8 points from first prize. Usko´s puppy Cheddarhill Addie Adanna got CC and cacib, was BOB and got NevskyWinner 2008-title in International dog show held in Petersburg. Congratulations to all puppy owners and their breeders! We are proud of you. 10th August 2008 Benton One More Duck Usko´s sire Arkview Moonstroller "Seth" was in his first Veteran class show BOB-veteran and shortlisted to six best veterans in BIS-final. Congratulations to Jane and David! Well done.

Summer flowers from our garden will find here Flowers in August. 25th July 2008 Finally I had some time to update our pages. Sorry about delay. We made a summer holiday trip to UK. Everything went well. We had all kind of weather; sometimes heavy rain and wind sometimes heat. As a garden person, I just loved all gardens we saw. So beautiful. You can read of our trip from link Holiday trip to UK 2008. Benton One More Duck Usko was entered to East of England-championship dog show. The judge was Moray Armstrong from UK. Usko was second (2.) in Open class. There were 7 dogs in open class, so you have to be satisfied to result. 49 welsh springers were entered to show alltogether. 07th July 2008 Last weekend was three shows in Sweden Stockholm. Me and Benton One More Duck Usko with Elisa-friend travelled to all shows. The start for our tour was not so good because in the harbour of Stockholm a truck was cut in to our car. Luckily we were ok but car needs repairing. On Friday 4.7. was Welsh Springer Championship 2008 show and the judge was Tony Pascoe from UK. Usko was fourth (4.) in champion class. On Saturday 5.7. was Spaniel & Retviever Speciality 2008 show and the judge was Patsy Hollings from UK. Usko was third (3.) in champion class.
photo: Elisa Sormunen On Sunday 6.7. it was turn to go World Winner 2008 -show. The judge for dogs (males) was Mr John Hartley (kennel Weslave) from UK. Usko won champion class (14 dogs). Usko got cacib and has new title World Winner 2008!!!!! John Hartley was judge to BOB as well. From six welshies judge picked up two to compete of BOB. Usko was one of them. The open class winner from bitches Caseins Asclepias Erosa was BOB.

Cheddarhill Archie Arkin finished Estonian Junior show champion title in the beginning of June. 10th May 2008 Here Garden spring 2008 you will find some photos of flowers which bloom in spring time. Can´t wait to get my fingers dirty. 27th April 2008 Benton One More Duck Usko had a very good day today in International dog show in Lahti. The breed and group judge was Paavo Mattila from Finland and bis-judge was Erin Brown from Australia. Usko got cacib and was BOB. He won the group and was BIS-4.
20th April 2008 Yesterday 19.4. Benton One More Duck Usko and I were in Jyväskylä´s International Dog show. The breed judge was Lisbeth Campbell from Norway. Usko was BOB and got cacib. No placement in group finals. Usko´s critique was very short but everything important is in it: Right up to the breed standard. A very very nice champion.

Wallu was BM-2 and got his second CC and Fanny was BB-1, got CC and was BOS. The judge was Leila Kärkäs from Finland. Arvo-dad is very proud of Wallu and Fanny! 24th March 2008 Puppy of Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo Wildomar´s Fiction Oh No "Wallu" was second in males and got his first CC in International dog show held in Lappeenranta yesterday 23.3.2008. The judge was Harri Lehkonen from Finland. Congratulations to Wallu, Wallu´s owners and Wallu´s breeders Sanna and Sami! Well done.

photo: Renee Kooli Yesterday 16.3. me and Usko were in International dog show held in Tampere. The breed judge was John Thirwell, kennel Ferndel, UK. The groupjudge Frank Kane is one of the most respected Gundog judges and expert in UK. Usko was BOB and won group 8! We didn´t get any placement in bis-final.

Hightide´s Fanny (born 5.5.1999), daughter of our old show star Hightide´s Man Of Fashion Viljo, was shown in the international dog show held in Turku. Fanny was BOB-veteran.

08th January 2008 News 2008 page created. Benton One More Duck Usko and I travelled to Gothenburg to enter Swedish Winner 2008- show. About 1.280 km behind us and the weather was sometimes bad, but it was all worth it. Usko was BOB, got cacib and title Swedish Winner 2008. In group finals Usko was BIG-4. The judge for males was Hans Lehtinen from Finland and BOB-judge was Silva Zeferino from Portugal. The group judge was Hans van den Berg from Netherlands. |
