FCI has confirmed Benton One More Duck Usko´s International show champion -title. Usko is now Int & Fin & N & S(u) & PL CH, NORDJW-04, NORDW-04-05, NW-04-06, FINJW-04, FINW-04-05-06, EUW-06, WW-06, PL & PZW-06 Benton One More Duck.

It`s  allways nice to start the weekend with dog show and it´s nice to end it also with dog show. And what is more wonderful but end the successfull year in shows to these two big shows.

On Saturday 9.12.2006 was Finnish Winner 2006 -show in Helsinki. Benton One More Duck Usko was entered to show. The breed judge was Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen from Finland and group judge was Guy Spagnolo from Australia. Usko was best of breed (BOB) and in FCI group 8 finals was Usko third (BIG-3).

Usko was also awarded show WSS of the Year -prize.

On Sunday 10.12.2006 was Swedish Winner 2006 -show in Stockholm. The breed judge was Frank Whyte (kennel Kazval). Usko was second in males (BM-2) and got reserve cacib.

World Winner 2006 -show was held in Poznan Poland. I travelled to show with Benton One More Duck Usko  by bus. The trip went well allthough timetable coming back home was very busy. Thanks to our professional drivers we was in Tallinn in time and catched the boat. Alltogether about 2.700 km sitting in the buss.

The show went perfect. Usko was BOB and got titles World Winner 2006 (WW-06),  Polish Winner 2006 (PLW-06), Poznan Winner 2006 (PZW-06) and Polish show champion (PL CH). The judge was Ole Staunskjaer from Denmark.

No succes in group finals but lot of experience and we were very proud to represent Finland.

The Showdog 2006 competition organised by The Kennel Club of Finland has ended. Benton One More Duck´s Usko final placing is 7.!!!

You could say that Usko in seventh beautiful dog in Finland.

What a day!

Yesterday was one of the most important highlites of show year; The annual main show of Spaniel club. The breed judge for wss was Joy Hartley (kennel Weslave) and for ess Penny Williams (kennel Bournehouse) from UK and BIS-judge was Carlos Saevich, Argentina.

Benton One More Duck Usko was BOB and BIS-2.

Adamant´s Wind of Change Arvo got excellent and was fourth in intermediate class. Very good result considering that coat under stomach is in growing process.

Spaniel club has competition "Spaniel of the Year".  Usko was won this comepetition and was rewarded yeasterday. Usko was first wss ever who won this competition.

Usko´s crique will tell everything:

This dog has one problem; he lives in Finland and not in UK.                                                                                        He has the best of everything from the nose to the tip of his tail. Most beautiful head and expression. Excellent neck, shoulders, front and feet. Correct length of back. Excellent hindquarters which he knows how to use. Quality througout. Excellent movement.  Wish he were mine.

Benton One More Duck Usko was BOB and BIG-2 in Oulu´s International dog show. The breed judge was Ann Long-Doyle, Ireland and group judge was Rita Kadike-Skadina, Latvia.

No placing in BIS-competition today. But a lot of experience. Benton One More Duck Usko was performing very well. The BIS-judge was  Petr Rehánek, Czech.

How can the weather be so cold and windy! But the results of this all breed show in Porvoo warm me very much. The judge and FCI group 8 judge was Per Iversen, Norway. Benton One More Duck Usko was BOB and won the group. Tomorrow is BIS- competition.

Yesterday 3.9. I and Benton One More Duck Usko and Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo spent very nice show day in Helsinki. For a long time Arvo was in show to keep company to Usko and to meet his breeder Tarja. Arvo will be back in shows during this autumn.

Usko was shown in all breed show. Usko was Best of breed and in the FCI group 8 and was placed third in gropu competition. The breed judge was Valerie Foss, England and group judge was Sigrid Jarmer, Austria.

Benton One More Duck Usko was shown in International Dog Show in Hämeenlinna. The judge and groupjudge was Tarja Hovila, Finland. Usko was Best of breed and won the FCI group 8!!! The day was very summerful and Usko was enjoying himself.

Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo passed Spaniel working ability test and had the best result of todays test.

Home at last, about 1.350 km behind us but the trip was worth it.

On Saturday 12.8.2006 Benton One More Duck Usko was shown in the annual club show of Welsh Springer Spaniel Club. The show was held in the southern part of Sweden Simlångsdalen.  The judge for dogs was Tom Graham, England. Usko wasn´t placed in champion class.

On Sunday 13.08.2006 Usko was shown in International Dog Show in Oslo. This show was also Norwegian Winner show 2006. The judge was Jouko Leiviskä, Finland and the group judge was Ann Joe Sampaio, Brasil. Usko was BOB, got Norwegian Winner 2006 -title and got cacib. Usko will be International show champion when FCI will comfirm the title. Usko was shortlisted in group into 8 best but wasn´t placed.

Benton One More Duck Usko was in good show mood once again and the results were magficient. The show was International dog show in Mikkeli 29.7.2006.

The breed judge was Eugen Megelea, Romania, groupjudge was Stelios Makaritis, Greece and BIS-judge was Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen, Finland. Usko got CACIB and was BOB, BIG-1 and in BIS-final on sunday finally BIS-4.

Benton One More Duck Usko and I was today in All Breed Show in Karjaa. Usko was BOB and BIG-2. The judge in breed and group was Kirsti Louhi, Finland. We had a very hot day but it didn´t bother Usko at all and he was in good show mood.

After show all our boys had the change to enjoy swimming. Here are some photos of our water fun.

Today we had the Finnish Spaniel Club Specialty show in Tampere. Benton One More Duck Usko won champion class with excellent and was BM-1 and BOB. Finally Usko was BIS-2. The breed judge was Beata Petkevica, Latvia and the BIS judge was Rita Kadike-Skadina, Latvia.

Bos was Benton No More Secrets "Steffi". Thanks for the very good friend of mine Irma who has been staying with us and  kept me company.

Today we had European Winner Show here in Finland. Benton One More Duck Usko got cacib, European Winner 2006 title and was finally BOB. The judge in breed and group was Annika Ullveit-Moe, Sweden. In the group 8 Usko was shortlisted in 6 best dogs.

Today we got a beautiful dibloma from Russian Kinologial Federation. Benton Kings Cross Pietus Russian Champion title is now official.

Yesterday we had an annual special show of  both Springerspaniels. The main thing in this show is seeing good friends and a have a good time.

I had only Welshspringers in the ring and I´m pleased with the results.

Benton Kings Cross Pietu won working class with excellent. Here are a few photos of Pietu in the show. Benton One More Duck Usko was third in champion class and finally BM-3. The judge was Mr Graham Tain, kennel Taimere, Great Britain.

Benton Kings Cross Pietus, Benton One More Duck Uskos, Hightide´s Midnight Storm Voittos and Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvos  eyes were checked today and they were all ok. Also Arvos hips were X-rayd and they left to the Kennel Club for the official statement in A-A (best possible).

I travelled to St. Petersburg, Russia with Benton Kings Cross Pietu and Hightide´s Midnight Storm Voitto to show them in International Dog Show "Grand-Prix "Spring Petersburg". Voitto got EXC2 and reserve-CC. Pietu was BOB and got CC, CACIB and finally was BIG-3. The judges were in breeds Georg Baklushin, Russia and in group FCI 8 Kristian Vantu, Romania. Pietu became a russian show champion and when FCI will comfirm a international show champion. Pietu got also title RKFW-06 which is a official winner-title.

I do hope that spring will finally come. There are some signs (birds and sun) that this cold season will past us. So for the honour of spring I groomed Benton Kings Cross  Pietu and Hightide´s Midnight Storm Voitto.

I´m so proud of Usko and me. The success at the Crufts was so magnificent!!! Benton One More Duck Usko was second in Open class and reserve best dog!!!!! This is the first time when wss from abroad and with long tail has been so high. The best dog and BOB was Uskos halfbrother Sh Ch Ferndel Maverick (Arkview Moon Stroller - Sh Ch Ferndel Cecilia). He was also BIG-1 in Gundogs. We lost to group winner so Uskos result is more precious.

The trip went well and smoothly. We (me and my husband Jukka) rented a car from Heathrow airport and drove to Solihull hotel Corus. On saturday I was doing some shopping and looking around at the Crufts.

I was a little worried how the show will go because I didn´t sleep very well the night before. I was quite tired and very nerveous. Usko was in very good show mood and waiting to give everything.

I knew that competetion in Open class would be tough. Our champion class can be compared to open class in England. Getting reserve ticket is something that I never dreamed of.

We came home on monday in evening flight. I noticed that Great Britain is full of dog lovers. So many people in the street came to us and wanted to talk with us about dogs and wss.

Thanks to all who was beside the ring cheering to us and congratulating us. And thanks to all who has sent me e-mails and textmessages. They all did my heart well.

One week to go and my dream will come true. Everything is ready for us to fly to England and participate the Crufts with Benton One More Duck Usko.  We will fly on friday and the show is on sunday. There are 78 males and 88 bitches. The judge is Mrs A.J. Hartley, England.  On monday we will return to home. And then I will tell you more about our trip and how did it go. 6 of 11 puppies of  Benton Kings Cross Pietu has been x-rayd so far. 3 of them has A hips, 2 of them has B hips and 1 of them has C hips.  All of them has ok eyes.

Yesterday I received very good news from The Kennel Club Of Sweden. Benton One More Duck Usko´s show champion- title has been confirmed.

What a night last night was! I and Benton One More Duck Usko participated in Champion Of Champions Gala yesterday. The Gala is a charity gala for drug dogs and only dogs who are invited can enter to it. This year 52 champions were in this gala.  Usko was in a show mood again and the results were magnificent. We were among 8 best dogs.  Breed history again, I think. Usko lost out votes 1-2 to the winner welsh corgi pembroke. The judges were Kirsti Lummelampi, Finland, Bo Skalin, Sweden and Svend Lovenjaeker, Denmark.

Hopefully this doesn´t  happen to our dogs any more. Adamant´s Wind Of Change Arvo had a surgery on wednesday evening. He ate a little rock and it was stuck in his intestine. Arvo was operated right a way. The operations was made at the last moment.  Now he is feeling fine and everything will be ok. The operation means that we have to keep a break from dog shows for a quite time.

But I have some very interesting plans for this year and you hear about them later. Plans for every month, so keep vising our pages regularly.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to visit Helle and Uno Vaino in Tallinn and see Benton Kings Cross Pietus puppies. Puppies were born in 25.11.2005 and the combination is Fin Ch Benton Kings Cross - Int & Est & Rus & Lv CH, Nevsky Winner 2003 Dimmös Bessie Smith.  You find photos of puppies from Pietus Progeny-page.
